Taking the experience gained through my tenure as the first Chief of UNRWA's Ethics Office from 2008 until 2019 and the simultaneous membership of the Ethics Panel of the United Nations (and participation in the work of the Ethics Network of Multilateral Organizations) as a starting point, I am embarking on a project to research and write what I hope will be the first United Nations Ethics Handbook.

The Handbook is intended as a practice guide for those working in ethics functions in the international public sector, with special emphasis on the United Nations ethics community. It is my intention to make the Handbook relevant for both ethics practitioners and academics studying this still young organizatonal discipline. In order to make the Handbook as rich and lively as possible, it is my wish to collaborate with current and former UN ethics professionals, and possibly co-author the book with one or more of them. I intend to offer the book for publication to Oxford University Press, which also published my Palestinian Refugees in International Law (co-authored with Francesca Albanese). Those interested to collaborate in the project in one way or the other are kindly requested to contact me.
